JottSmart is designed to keep your data under your control. We do not operate a cloud database for your notes, transcripts, or summaries.

What we process

1) Content you create (on-device)

Transcripts, summaries, and action items generated from your meetings are stored locally on your device. JottSmart does not store meeting audio or video recordings inside the app and does not upload your notes to our servers.

If you export notes or summaries to other apps or locations (such as Files, Notes, or cloud storage you control), those copies are managed by you and subject to the privacy policies of those services.

2) App usage analytics (limited)

To understand how JottSmart is used and to improve the app, we collect limited, non-personal usage data such as app launches and feature interactions. This data is used in aggregate and is not linked to your meeting content.

We do not collect Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) and do not track you across other apps or websites for advertising purposes.

3) Website analytics (Google Analytics 4)

When you visit jottsmart.com, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand website usage and improve our site. GA4 may process information such as page views, device and browser type, approximate location (derived from IP address at a coarse level), referrer information, and click events (for example, clicks to the App Store).

We use GA4 reports in aggregate and do not use cross-app tracking or attempt to personally identify website visitors.

4) Diagnostics (platform-controlled)

Apple may provide us with anonymized crash and performance diagnostics if you enable sharing in iOS settings. We use this information solely to fix bugs and improve reliability. We do not receive information that directly identifies you.

Cookies & consent (website)

On jottsmart.com, we may use cookies or similar technologies to support analytics and site functionality. Where required by law (such as in the EU/EEA or UK), we display a consent banner that allows you to accept or deny analytics-related storage. • On-device control: You may delete your transcripts and summaries at any time within the app.
• App removal: Deleting the JottSmart app removes all locally stored app data.
• Subscriptions: Managed through iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
• Website analytics: You may allow or deny analytics via the consent banner or by clearing your browser’s site data.
• Data requests: You may contact us to request access to or deletion of analytics data where technically feasible.
